Marta Gidaszewska – violin Robert Łaguniak – violin The Gidaszewska/Łaguniak Duo was formed in 2014. Its members are current students of the Academies of Music in Poznań and Łódź and formerly studied with Karina Gidaszewska at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Comprehensive School of Music in Poznań. As soloists, they have appeared in national and international violin competitions, where they were awarded the top prizes (more than 150 in total garnered in such countries as Japan, Serbia, Greece, Sweden, England, France, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and Poland). The duo have a hectic concert schedule which takes them to multiple competitions. They won the First Prize in 2014 and the Grand Prix in 2015 at the Turniej Kameralny w Trzech Odsłonach in Bydgoszcz, the First Prize at the National Chamber Music Competition in Łódź, the Second Prize at the Warszawskie Forum Kameralne (Warsaw Chamber Forum) and the vice-championship at the International Music Tournament in Bydgoszcz (all of them in 2015). The duo’s repertoire consists of Baroque, Classical, Romantic and twentieth-century compositions.
