He began his piano education at the age of eight. He is a graduate of the Secondary Specialised School of Music in Kiev, where he studied with Tatiana Abayeva and Boris Fedorov. At the invitation of Jarosław Drzewiecki, he has recently commenced studies at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In 2016, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Ukraine. Next year, he received the Second Prize at the Seventh International Piano Competition in Tbilisi, Georgia and made a concert tour of Holland. He won the Grand Prix at three editions of the International Piano Festival ‘Bieszczady without Borders’, in addition to other awards the Golden Parnassus in 2019. In the 2018–2019 season, Dorofeiev recorded four studio discs in the Pomeranian Philharmonic. He has also appeared in concert in such prestigious halls as the National Philharmonic of Ukraine in Kiev and the National Opera of Ukraine in Kiev and in concert halls in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Ede (Holland). He has regularly performed alongside orchestras from Lviv, Kiev, Radom and the Symphony Orchestra of the National Opera of Ukraine ‘Kiev -Classic’ (conducted by German Makarenko).
