Third Prize – 5,000 euros / Sponsored by the Polish Society of Authors and Composers ZAiKS Special Prize: Polish Institute in Bratislava – invitation to a recital performance Mateusz Krzyżowski He has received the First Prize at the last National Chopin Festival. Krzyżowski has won a host of prizes at national and international competitions, including the Grand Prix Kaunas Sonorum in Kaunas, Lithuania, the Second Prize at the Karol Szymanowski Competition in Katowice, the First Prize and the Chopin Institute Special Prize at the International Piano Competition in Augustów, as well as the First Prize and a special prize for the best performance of a work by Apolinary Szeluto at the Szeluto Festival in Słupca. He has performed at such venues as the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Pszczyna Castle, Silesian, Rzeszów, Kaunas and Łódź philharmonic halls and the Concert Hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) in Katowice. He has been accompanied by, among others, the Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy ‘Aukso’, the Symphony Orchestra of the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra.
