… but your heart will stay with us. To Fryderyk Chopin on the 210th anniversary of birth.

We are happy to invite you to Michał Dziewior’s concert in Vienna. The winner of an honourable mention at the International Competition of Polish Music will perform a concert which comes as a special prize sponsored by the Instytut Polski (Polish Institute) in Vienna.

Michał Dziewior will appear at Ehrbar Saal, Mühlgasse 28 in Vienna exactly on the 210th birthday of Fryderyk Chopin in a recital featuring compositions by Fryderyk Chopin and Ludwig van Beethoven. The concert will open with introductory remarks from Christoph Wellner, a musicologist and editor-in-chief of Radio Klassik Stephansdom, and will be attended by guest representatives of the diplomatic corps, academia, Viennese cultural institutions, the Austrian Music Society and the Chopin Society in Vienna.

The Viennese celebrations of the birth of Fryderyk Chopin will also feature a public presentation of Piotr Wierzbicki’s book Migotliwy ton – esej o stylu Chopina in a German translation (Der flimmernde Ton) by Steffen Möller. The publication will be presented on 27 February at the Instytut Polski (Polish Institute) in Vienna at Am Gestade 7.
