We are delighted to inform you that the Polish Society of Authors and Composers ZAiKS has become the sponsor of the Third Prize, in the amount of 5000 euros, for the participants of the Competition’s Category I (pianists). We greatly appreciate the fact that ZAiKS has embraced the Competition’s idea, i.e. promotion of Polish music and its performers, regardless of their age or nationality.
About the sponsor of the prize:
ZAiKS can boast more than ninety years of experience and tradition. The organisation protects the rights to its members’ works and works it has been entrusted with protecting by other authors and composers. Based on agreements of mutual representation with foreign artists, it also manages the copyright on international works. ZAiKS is one of the founding members of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers CISAC and a member of BIEM, an international organisation coordinating statutory licence agreements of recorded and mechanically reproduced musical works. ZAIKS gathers distinguished composers of classical music, popular music and dance music, as well as eminent dramatists, poets, authors, songwriters, screenwriters, directors, choreographers, opinion journalists, scientists, photographers, architects and plastic artists.
