We are honoured to inform you that the Competition has been put under the National Patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda in the 100-th anniversary of independence.

National Patronage is a concept introduced by the President of Poland in order to highlight those projects which contribute to the Centenary Independence Celebrations and which serve both as a reminder and a promotion of patriotic attitudes, accomplishments and aspirations of the Polish people.

The Chancellery of President Andrzej Duda has recognised the initiative to organise the Stanisław Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music in Rzeszów as a valuable part of the Centenary Independence Celebrations. The Competition aims to promote the rich legacy of Polish composers within the context of commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Stanisław Moniuszko, the creator of the Polish national opera.

The Competition will soon be placed on the map of the Centenary Celebrations of the Restoration of Independence on the President’s official website at www.president.pl.
