Paulina Bujok – violin Joanna Sochacka – piano The duo made their debut in February 2019, when they recorded the complete chamber works for violin and piano by Artur Malawski. The artists subsequently went on a concert tour where they promoted works written by Polish composers, such as Malawski and Grażyna Bacewicz. The culmination of this year’s successes for the ensemble has been the First Prize and all the special prizes they were awarded at the International Competition ‘Città di Padova’ in Padua, Italy. The instrumentalists have already performed in England, France, Austria, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, South Korea, the United States, Israel and other countries, where they appeared at such venues as Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Kulturpalast Dresden, the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, the Ferenc Liszt Concert Hall in Raiding, the Villa Atma in Zakopane, the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw and the Concert Hall at Esterházy Castle in Eisenstadt. Both Joanna Sochacka and Paulina Bujok have won numerous national and international competition prizes and they are now both studying for doctoral degrees: Paulina Bujok at the Academy of Music in Kraków and Joanna Sochacka at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź.
