Izabela Szlachta-Dowgiałło – violin Olena Lechowicz – piano The ensemble was established earlier in 2019, but the artists had performed together ever since 2013. Izabela Szlachta-Dowgiałło completed the Academy of Music in Kraków, where she studied with Robert Kabara and went on to get a doctoral degree in 2013. She has perfected her skills with such teachers as Wanda Wiłkomirska, Kaja Danczowska and Antoni Cofalik. She has appeared in concert throughout Europe, as well as in Asia and the United States. Olena Lechowicz has obtained her degree from the Academy of Music in Lviv, Ukraine, where she was a student of Lidia Krych. She has also studied with Victor Makarov, Monika Sikorska-Wojtacha and Dina Yoffe. She has performed as a soloist alongside the Symphony Orchestra of the Lviv Philharmonic and as a chamber musician in an ensemble with Lidia Futorska, Dorota Boruch-Żołnacz and Magdalena Jakubska. She has won numerous awards as an accompanist at national and international competitions. As the Eufonico Duo, the artists made their debut at the ‘Tribute to Lutosławski’ concert at the Mirror Hall in Tarnów. Their most exciting projects have included the performance of Dmitri Shostakovich’s quintet for a project called ‘History Written by Music’ in 2017 and the concert to celebrate Krzysztof Penderecki’s eighty-fifth birthday in Dębica in the presence of the maestro in 2018. The musicians have recently embarked on a cycle of ‘Polish Music Evenings’, where they have already appeared twice. Their repertoire ranges from works created between Classicism and the modern times, with the emphasis on Polish and Ukrainian music.
