He completed with distinction the Academy of Music in Gdańsk in 2017, where he studied with Kordian Góra and he continues his music education at the doctoral level with Elżbieta Pasierowska-Kołodziej in the same institution. The artist has won numerous competition prizes, including the Third Prize at the Fryderyk Chopin National Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2018, the Third Prize at the Stasys Vainiunas International Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2018 and the Second Prize in addition to a special prize at the Third International Baltic Piano Competition in Gdańsk. Piórkowski has also perfected his skills at a number of master classes led by such eminent teachers of piano as Wojciech Świtała, Piotr Paleczny, Philippe Giusiano, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Kevin Kenner, Dang Thai Son and Dina Yoffe.

He has performed at such venues as the Baltic Philharmonic Hall in Gdańsk, the Concert Studio of Radio Gdańsk, the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw and the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw. He is also a chamber musician performing in a piano duo with Mikołaj Sikała. He has won scholarships awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Minister of Science and Higher Education, the Vice-Chancellor of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk and the Marshal of Pomorskie Voivodeship.
